The era of fumbling in the dark for a jagged metal key while carrying heavy groceries is officially over. Today, homeowners are rapidly transitioning to connected, keyless ecosystems. Modern access control allows you to unlock your front door with your fingerprint, assign temporary access codes to a dog walker, and double-check that your house is secure from your smartphone while sitting at your desk. However, improperly installing these advanced devices leads to constant motor jams and weekly battery replacements. We are Homer City, PA’s premier specialists in residential smart lock upgrades. We don't just bolt a computer to your door; we expertly integrate high-tech security into your home's physical architecture, ensuring flawless operation and absolute peace of mind.

You can buy the most expensive, advanced Wi-Fi deadbolt on the market, but if it is installed on a misaligned door, it will fail within weeks. A standard mechanical deadbolt allows you to pull or push the door slightly while turning the key to overcome friction. A motorized smart lock does not have that luxury. The tiny motor must push the heavy steel bolt completely horizontally. If the bolt rubs against the strike plate in the door frame, the friction causes severe battery drain and rapid motor burnout—the number one complaint of DIY smart lock installations. When we execute residential smart lock upgrades, we meticulously calibrate your door hinges and dynamically route the metal strike plate so the motorized deadbolt glides effortlessly with zero resistance.
We carry and install a wide variety of industry-leading smart locks to perfectly match your family's specific needs and your home's aesthetic in Homer City, PA.
A smart lock is only as secure as the wood it is mounted to. While we are upgrading the electronic brains of your entryway, we also upgrade the physical brawn. We reinforce the wooden door jamb by installing heavy-duty, extended metal strike plates using three-inch steel screws that bite directly into the "king stud" of your wall framing. This ensures that your new, high-tech lock is fiercely protected against violent kick-in attacks.
Don't settle for outdated, sticky hardware or the anxiety of lost house keys. Upgrade your home with the seamless convenience of professional keyless entry.

"I bought a popular Wi-Fi smart lock but couldn't get the deadbolt to slide in smoothly. The motor kept jamming and killing the batteries. The technician came out, fixed the alignment on my wooden door frame, and got the smart lock working perfectly."
"We love our new biometric lock. The kids just use their thumbprint after school, and I never have to worry about them losing a house key again. They also reinforced the door frame with huge screws. Highly recommend this team."
The two treaties of Fort Stanwix (of 1768 and, after American independence, of 1784) secured the westward expansion of Pennsylvania into the region where the Borough of Homer City is now located, on land inhabited by the six Indian nations. With white settlement these new territories were initially organized as part of existing counties in eastern and central Pennsylvania. White settlers were few in the eighteenth century and encountering Indians still very much a part of daily life. Any degree of stability and safety came only after the Battle of Fallen Timbers (1794). Indiana County was carved out of Westmoreland and Lycoming counties in 1803 and divided into three townships: Wheatfield, Armstrong, and Mahoning. The confluence of Two Lick and Yellow creeks (present-day Homer City) was a contender for the seat of government for the new county, but instead the "extraordinary overtures" of George Clymer, a local landowners and a signer of the Declaration of Independence, saw the county seat situated instead in what would become the Borough of Indiana. Center Township - the unincorporated area surrounding present-day Homer City - was created from a portion of Armstrong Township in 1807, its landscape dotted with larger and smaller family homesteads (farms) and an increasing number of mills and trading posts.
